Damian has lived and worked in Wollongong for the past 55 years. He has raised a large family in the region, whilst at the same time, having ran a successful motorcycle business of his own for over 25 years. Damian feels that he is well in-tune with the Illawarra and its local community and the surrounding region.

Damian is a very proud active Surf Lifesaver with the North Wollongong SLSC which he feels keeps him in touch with reality and keeps him sharp and focused on the task at hand in business, which is to achieve the absolute best possible real estate results for his clients – no matter what the challenge – with the utmost highest of integrity.

Ben Kashan

Ben is a very experienced residential and commercial property advisor in the ACT and New South Wales. His involvement within the property market commenced with sales and marketing in Malaysia, where he was involved in many projects involving the construction of hotels and office buildings. Ben has over 25 years’ experience in the selling and marketing of property to local, interstate and overseas investors and developers. Ben’s primary focus has been on the sale of new residential and commercial property developments. His connections and marketing have led to a large number of high profile transactions such as shopping centres, medical centres, storage facilities, offices and development sites.

When Ben migrated to Australia in 1996, he commenced business in the Real Estate and construction industry, at which time he joined HIA Australia (Housing Industry Association). He then studied Civil engineering in Canberra and also gained a diploma in Business Management. In the last 25 years, two outstanding projects he was involved in were, a large estate in Dunlop ACT Canberra, which sold for suburb record in the following year and a project in Jerrabomberra NSW that received several awards. Also during this time, Ben became an active and community minded participant in the Australian Capital Territory region and participated in major decisions regarding developing and extending the Capital by advising the Government.

Helen joins the WHK Commercial team after many years in the real estate industry, located in the Southern Highlands and the Northern Suburbs of Sydney.

In addition to her real estate career, Helen has been owned and been director of a retail maintenance business, carrying out maintenance and shop fit-outs in shopping centres across NSW and the ACT for over 15 years. This has seen Helen’s focus shift from residential sales to commercial and industrial sales, and her move to the Illawarra.

Utilising her excellent time management and organisational skills, as the Principals PA, Helen provides Harry the opportunity and availability to his clients ensuring they receive the best of Harrys time and skills in negotiating Sales & leasing.

With so many years exposure to the different aspects of real estate, from Sales, Leasing and Management within both residential and retail sectors, Helen has a unique skill set enabling her to provide an all-encompassing service to her clients.

Having started her property management career at WHK several years ago, Melissa is a dedicated member of the WHK team and always working on improving processes to gain the best results for our clients throughout WHK’s growth. She has overseen the rollout of our property management program and implemented procedures to ensure all facets of the management roles can be carried out with efficiency. With attention to detail, all leases are thoroughly reviewed so that all terms are captured correctly, rent reviews implemented efficiently, and outgoings forecasts and reconciliations overseen to be accurate. To ensure the maximum lifespan of all equipment within the portfolios, detailed schedules are in place for proactive maintenance and thorough records kept of all repairs and maintenance for each property. Getting to know our properties through ongoing inspections, and valuing the relationships she has been building with both Landlords and Tenants helps achieve tenant retention and return on investment during the lease renewal process. Always happy to step out of the comfort zone and think outside the square, Melissa looks forward to continued success for WHK and her clients.

Murat Anar

Murat joined the WHK Commercial Property team in November 2019 as a Commercial Property Manager and is known for his honesty and determination. Having over 6 years of extensive Commercial Property Management experience having worked for several agencies within Sydney where he managed up to 300 properties in a single portfolio as well as a complex role within a corporate company, Murat is passionate about the property industry and prides himself on delivering the highest level of professional standards and customer service, ensuring he achieves outstanding results for his clients.

His love for real estate came into play in 2013; Murat enjoys his role and currently undertaking tertiary studies through Deakin University for his Bachelors of Property and Real Estate encompassing him with the knowledge of sustainability, law, investment, valuation and development.

Outside of work, Murat is adjusting to fatherhood and loves to spend time with his wife and newborn daughter.

Ammar joins our team with over 20 year’s experience in the building trade industry. Ammar first entered the industry as an electrician then moved into providing multi trade services as a licensed carpenter and builder while using his work experience with Reece in plumbing services.

Ammar successfully ran a property maintenance and building business for over 10 years in the Illawarra before deciding to move into commercial building. Ammar has built his reputation on honesty, integrity and taking pride in his work, always going that extra mile to ensure his clients are happy with his services.

Ammar enjoys spending his weekends with his 5 children and family, is an avid camper and motorcycle rider.

Tammy Ryan

Tammy is a well-known local having grown up in the northern suburbs of Wollongong.

Tammy brings a good balance of knowledge and experience to WHK, having managed a number of family businesses including local post offices. In addition, Tammy has also worked in the finance sector, working for a number of major financial institutions for a number of years and is renowned for her customer service.

Subsequently, Tammy has experience in the automotive industry, performing a number of roles including customer care programs, corporate manufacturer claims, general administration and accounts.

Recently, Tammy has worked for a number of local Valuers and Real Estate agencies, and this, coupled with her previous experience, makes Tammy a valuable member of our Property Management team in her role as Accounts Officer.

Anna Roso

Before joining WHK, Anna was previously responsible for reporting and delivering financial results for a portfolio of Shopping Centres, as well as assisting Centre Management Employees with daily accounting issues.
Holding the Accounts Officer Role, Anna is a valued member of the WHK team. She has spent the vast majority of her career in the property industry, bringing her wealth of knowledge and over 20 years experience in administration and accounting to WHK Commercial.

Soni Achuthan

Soni is a graduate with distinction from the University of Wollongong with a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting (Advanced) and has completed the CPA program.
He has nine years of accounting experience contributing to efficiencies and process improvements in the telecom industry.
Together with skills in financial reporting, accounts payables, accounts receivables, and general ledger reconciliation, Soni possesses analytical expertise which he utilises to contribute value to the team at WHK.

Jessica Lendich

Jessica joined the WHK Commercial Property team in June 2012, having relocated from Sydney to Wollongong. Jessica had previously worked in various Marketing roles for residential Real Estate agencies as well as Advertising & Production companies in Sydney.

After three and a half years working for Harry in various roles within the company, Jessica was appointed Commercial Property Manager and managed a small team and a portfolio of over 140 commercial and industrial properties throughout the Illawarra.

Jessica left WHK Commercial Property in August 2016, taking a short stint of maternity leave and returned to the company in a part-time capacity at the beginning of 2017 in the role of HR & Accounts Manager.

She continues to contribute her exceptional skills, experience, enthusiasm, loyalty and a strong work ethic to her role whilst striving to maintain a work/life balance between her career and family. Jessica is an integral part of the WHK Commercial team and proudly holds the title of the longest-serving employee which she looks forward to keeping for many years to come.

After having spent most of her professional career based in Sydney, Mary relocated back to her hometown of Wollongong and thoroughly enjoys her role as the ‘front of house’ representative for WHK.

Having worked in various office environments, Mary brings a broad range of skills and experience to her role and invariably seeks new challenges or additional responsibilities as part of her daily routine.

Organised and adaptable, her attention to detail and excellent time management skills means that every task is completed efficiently, and to the highest possible standard. Often described as meticulous, focused and hard working, Mary is an administrative professional who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats.

Above all, Mary is a self-confessed people person who thrives on creating a vibrant and fun culture in the office.
